Idapted announces release of V2 Technology platform - breakthroughs in learner track-ability, efficiency and usability

Idapted announces the release of the Idapted V2 technology system for live, on-demand online learning culminating over a year and a half of iterative development work and numerous innovative breakthroughs.

“Based on all our experience and data, we’ve set a new standard for what live online learning can and should be”, said Jonathan Palley, Idapted co-founder and COO/CTO, “with this technology release we are able to deliver better results to our learners through improved usability, greater trackability, and higher trainer efficiency. “

The release includes over 50 different applications, written in leading edge technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Flex and Erlang, that work seamlessly together through a web interface to deliver a complete learning ecosystem.

Major areas of improvement include Idapted’s learner/trainer progress tracking system that allows consistent learning results by ensuring learners are studying exactly what they need to, the call routing and VoIP system that works even in sub-standard networks, the learner experience throughout the studycenter, the trainer qualification, training and management systems that allow optimal efficiency at scale and the trainer interaction screens.

“The release also includes radical architecture breakthroughs”, explains Guo Lei, Idapted’s web systems architect, “each of our technology components now sits independently, allowing us to deploy, integrate and improve each component independently”.

The release also includes breakthroughs in our call routing and connection technologies. “Building on the telecom strength of Erlang and FreeSWITCH, we’ve developed technologies that allow us to intelligently connect trainers and learners, regardless of their network condition or connection preferences – all without requiring software downloads”, explains Du Jinfang, Idapted’s systems and VoIP manager.

“Most importantly, the data we track so closely validates the improvements”, summarized Jonathan Palley, “in just the two weeks after this release has been rolled out we are seeing a 25% increase in the amount of feedback our trainers are giving to our learners and a 50% decrease in disconnects due to network issues. Plus, our learners and trainers are sending in highly positive comments.”
